I hate myself for being boring
I hate myself for many reasons, but I especialy hate myself for being boring. I am not very talkative. I don't really have many interensting hobbies, I just like to cook, play video games and read. I can't keep a conversation with people and I feel very inferior to them. Nobody is going to love me like this and i will never get a girlfriend. This just further strengthens my self hatred and sometimes it makes me self harm. I wish I could be like everyone else and not be a boring useless pile of garbage!
@CurWilliam
I just want to let you know that my husband is one of the most "boring" people I know. He's very low key, a homebody, predictable, and introverted. AND, I wouldn't have him any other way. "Boring" is all in the eye of the beholder and there's nothing wrong with having a low key life if that's what makes you happy.
@IntellectualPenguin123 Thank you for kind words. I'm just worried I will never find a person who accepts me even though I am boring.
@CurWilliam
I know dating is tough, but they say "every pot has its lid." Before I met my husband, I would never have imagined finding someone who was so compatible with me. There's someone out there who will think you hung the moon. Keep looking. You'll find them.
@CurWilliam Your hobbies sound perfect! I love a good gamer and cook, and plus just because you feel you can't hold a conversation that's not always bad. I personally love someone who's like that because I'm very talkative and so chatty people aren't compatible. Stay positive, we're all unique and everyone finds different things attractive and nice :)
@jovialRose99 Thanks for kind words. People always criticize me for not being talkative especially family members so it's hard for me to stay positive when everyone expects me to be something I am not.
@CurWilliam it's okay! Make sure you stay yourself, I've just looked at your gaming choice and it sounds like you'd fit perfectly in my friendship group, so keep faith that you'll find the right people xx
Hey there, I see that you've gotten several responses already, so I hope you see that we have your back here at 7 Cups. Anyways, boring is subjective. We are all unique, so what is boring to some people may be interesting to others. I completely understand how you feel; I've always felt like an outsider among people around me for having different interests than them (i.e. I've been more of a nerdy tomboy). However, if you can't accept who you are, how do you expect others to accept you?
I am more than happy to hear you out if you ever want to talk with a listener. I hope we've helped you out; hang in there!
I am sorry that you feel like this.
