I'm fighting with myself
For sometime I've been feeling like I have had an underlying depression, yet this year it's getting stronger, and I feel like it's beating me. It undermines my achievements and tells me I'm no good. It says to me in the mirror that I offer nothing that a girl would find attractive. It says that my future is hopeless no matter what path I take. I fighting and feel like I'm losing. Can you help?
Welcome Fizzy, and thanks for joining us!
You being here is certainly a positive step because you realize there is something going on and this is the first step in addressing it. That takes courage. I hope you realize the realism in that assertion.
My question to you Fizzy is, do you mind sharing more details? That would help us understand the picture you're seeing.
Hope to hear from you!
For example, I'm 18 and got accepted into 2 colleges with one of them offering me 3,000 dollars to attend. Yet I don't feel happy or elated about this, I just feel as if I don't deserve what I've got, I feel like I've coasted through life without doing any hard work. I don't deserve the achivements I've made or those same achivements aren'treally that big.

I see Fizzy. Some of us are naturally "gifted" so to speak where things come easier to us, and sometimes we can feel guilty because we are comparing this to others and observing their effort. Do you feel you'd fit in this category? If not, please do correct me. :)

Fizzy, I am so sorry! I have no idea what happened right there. Apparently my concerned conscious made me continue entering in the same thing over and over. ;)
Rigorous schools help discipline us. It seems you're starting to realize there are more variables at play here. :)
Possibly, but I don't feel very disiplined, I feel inconsistent with my work and often procrastinate on many things despite the routine I try to follow.
