I've strugged with depression now for around a year. It has been the hardest year of my life. Tomorrow I am going to the doctors to ask for help. I am absolutely petrified. I'm so scared to open up to someone about how I feel. Does anyone have any advice on the process/ what I should expect?

@KJ001

Hi there , amazing you're seeking help! That's the first step :)

Well my advice (someone here also gave me this and worked) is to write everything on a piece of papper. Because of anxiety talking about these things you can miss details or even big topics that you need to mention to the doctor. To not mention helps you to not get all over the place.

@KJ001 Just be open and understand that you are not going be judged at all! Just be yourself..

Hello there!!! This is great. I am so glad you have decided to take this step. It is always important to have some help from a professional perspective. It is normal to be nervous since it is the first time you will talk about your problem with a "stranger", however, don't forget that those doctors and professionals are there to help you and will not judge you. Good luck! hope everything goes weell! @KJ001
