Needed to say my peace First off let me say I’m about to be homeless for the third time in my life in Los Angeles before they age of 20 I tried to use every last connection I had with people who I thought cared about me but the so called family I had left was all just people who turned theirs backs on me for the simple fact they had nothing to gain from being even associated with me I’m so tired I’m so depressed I have to look over my shoulder everyday I’m paranoid and I have a lot of mental problems and I’m struggling with anxiety i don’t want to be in the streets but nobody wants to help me I have no family anymore I have no one no friends nothing please I really need help I don’t have anything to live for I just want to not worry where I’m going to lay my head at night if I could just find someone who didn’t betray me judge or want to use me for self gain maybe I wouldn’t be going insane but I don’t know anymore I just need someone to help me get on my feet cause I don’t see how this life was for me I feel like life itself is telling me to end my own.

I am so sorry you're going through this! You must be a really strong person with survival skills if you made it up to his point. Have you tried connecting to a social worker to help you find different resources. Sometimes staying at friends' houses isn't always possible. I'll check back on this post occasionally to see if you're okay :(

If you contact any social services for help, make sure you tell them you have mental health issues too so they can refer you to somebody. Please don't sleep on the streets! :( Sometimes staying with family members isn't an option for a lot of reasons.

Don't give up, even if you have to make more than one phone call to more than one place. People are here for you! I'm people :) Your life is meaningful to ME and I really mean that. I will check back on this post later to see if you reply.

When you say LA, you mean Los Angeles right and not Louisiana? Is the weather at least warm where you are?

Hi, I hope you read this. I think (but I'm not sure) that the Los Angeles Homeless Service Authority or LAHSA are closed on Saturdays and Sundays. They also seem to close at 5 PM on weekdays. I've also read a complaint on their Facebook page that they're very slow and might take months to help if you don't have children. BUT I don't think we should give up. Places with services might respond quicker if they know you have mental health issues. Can I help you file a Los Angeles Homeless Outreach Portal request? It's where you spot a person who is homeless or needs help and you make a request for someone to get back to them. The process MAY take a few days but I think it's okay if we stay on top of them.

You may want to look up the WAV homeless peer support group on Facebook. All the participants are formerly or currently homeless. If you go to invisiblepeople.tv and scroll to the bottom of the page, you will see a link to the group. Best wishes.

Hi, I just realized the homeless outreach portal request can ALSO be used for self-referrals. You don't have to have a second person file for you, you can do it. Here's the link: https://www.lahsa.org/portal/apps/la-hop/request
