Is it normal to want to cry when you're depressed?
Because,currently,I feel that way..As I have before.
Depression hurts so much.
Hello @ADX98927 it sounds like you are having a hard time :( Sometimes, crying is our body's way of getting all the negative things out (It highly depends on the circumstances) It is not all a bad thing, instead, it's a way to get all those negative thoughts out and may even help you relieve your stress. However, if you cry continuously for a long period of time, it may best to get professional help as you might be suffering from depression. Hey there,
I am going through a hard time in life too, and I cry a lot right now. Sometimes I will cry off and on for a few hours of the day. I am struggling with a work situation right now, and cry usually much of the day before work and while driving to work. Sometimes it seems very therapeutic because it is releasing all the pent up emotion and crying seems like all that you can really do when you know that nothing else will touch your pain and nothing/nobody else might help. I know that I do feel embarrassed sometimes that I cry so much (and yet at the same time, I almost wish that more people knew how much I was hurting!)
