Everyone seems to think I should know what I want to do with my life. But I don't have a clue. Not even close. I'm not doing any thinking about any future. Just trying to get through each day as they come. No one knows I didn't do anything for any colleges, sshhh! I don't have any long term plans for anything. Absolutely nothing. My parents are gonna be so pissed.
@wadite I can very much relate to what you're going through. I was the same way. Everyone in my class had plans for college and had an idea what they wanted to do. I did not. Oddly enough, things turned out alright. I was able to get an entry level position at a company that's values aligned with mine(ex: growth and taking care of people.) Some people may think I am not where I should be, but I know that I am on a good path. I value growth and becoming a leader and I have found a place where I can do that.
I apologize if you don't want to hear people's experiences. I am truly not trying to say the wrong thing. I just want you to know that you're okay. It's okay to not follow what everyone else is doing. Your path is different from theirs, not better or worse. Try not to judge yourself and trust that there is a place for you in this world. If that place is not in college right now, that's alright.

So you got in to a job you like with no college? That's good, great even. I just have no idea what I want to do. Nothing seems to interest me. It's a little scarey with graduation getting so close and everyone talking about the schools they hope to get in. I just can't see myself anywhere in the future.
Hey @wadite. To echo what @hopefulPower94 wrote, you don't need to know or be certain what you want to do with your life straight out of high school. While it may seem like everyone in your class knows what they want to do, that's appearances. Reality is, many of them will switch majors over the course of their years at college, some will drop out, some will graduate and decide they don't like the kind of job they were aiming for.
Appearing certain is sometimes putting up a front which feels easier than dealing with actual uncertainty, because uncertainty can be uncomfortable - right?
It seems to me that all you really need to decide is whether you're more inclined to continue education right now or if you'd rather enter the workforce to see where the opportunities lead you and maybe later, enroll at a college. If you decide to apply to schools, you don't need to worry about declaring a major straight away and you can always change it anyhow.
