My depression
I'm so tired of feeling like I'm a burden to my family. All my mom and step dad do when they come home is speak a little and then head back to their room, and talk about me amongst other subjects. I know they talk about me in private because sometimes they admit to me that they've discussed things about me. They don't want to hear about my issues and my mom will flat out change the subject if I try to bring it up to her. I know they love me and I love them too but I often feel like I've simply become an annoyance or burden to them.
@OceanBlue722 Hey OceanBlue, I realize how you're feeling and it is out of the love of your family and you don't want to burden them. But just like you love your family, your family loves you and you are not a burden to them. They worry because they care and they love you. Don't give up on anything and try to be realistic about things. Reality is never as bad as reality portrays to be
Hey there, im sorry that you are feeling tired right now. I can understand what it feels like to be a burden towards others you care about. Its unfortunate that they won't give you a chance to talk about this subject, and it must be hard to know that they are talking about you behind your back. The problem with not having an open dialogue about this with them is that it can send mixed signals to both parties and it can be confusing too, which is not helpful to the situation. Im sorry that they seem to refuse to listen to your issues, and I hope you know that we care about you here, and so I hope you reach out to someone to talk about this.
