@vmorgan20

If you feel like that is something that may benefit you, then you have nothing to lose by going to one. The best that can happen is you feel better talking about things and getting them off your shoulders. It can be helpful to offload your issues to someone. I think it would be worth a shot. :)

@vmorgan20 The key to therapy is to make the decision for yourself that you want it to work and that you're willing to open yourself up and be vulnerable. The first time I tried therapy, it was forced on me. I hated it. I would barely say anything, and when I did, I kept a lot of things hidden. It was a horrible experience and it didn't help one bit. The second time I tried therapy, I was the one who made the choice. I knew I needed and wanted help. It allowed me to work out my issues and to have an unbiased viewpoint on things that I didn't even know I was biased towards. Overall, it can be an ultimately healing experience. If your first therapist doesn't work out, though, don't be discouraged. Sometimes people just don't click. Keep searching. You can do this. I hope your situation gets better.
