No luck
So I havent had the best of luck with listeners. Starting to think it's a myth that some of you find people that they have had help with. I sometimes get pretty low at times with my thoughts and need to just talk but it's a bit discouraging that I have trouble with this just like I do a lot of other things
@SpaceAge I'm sorry that happened to you. I know this probably doesn't help, but I've had the same experience. You're not alone and I wish 7cups would do more to address this.
@SpaceAge I don't think it's a myth, but 7 Cups is deliberately designed to allow people to become listeners with very little experience. As a result of this policy, there are quite a few listeners who are not as helpful as they could be.
If you have trouble with a listener, it's important to report them so that they can be helped and encouraged to improve.
It's also possible to find experienced listeners who have a lot of good reviews. For example, you could use this custom search: Browse Listeners

I had many bad experience. But don't be dishearten there are good listener too. Just keep faith and ignore who don't behave properly just move to next .As no option but once you get good one you would forgot all the trouble to had face.

Hello SpaceAge and Welcome to 7 cups! I see that you are new here! I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble connecting with a listener that you would enjoy chatting with. I do believe that @RarelyCharlie has provided you with some very beneficial information!
In addition to the link that they have provided, you can also go to our "browse listeners" page. You can refine your search based on your needs, things you would enjoy chatting about. Here you can find various listeners that even have had real world experience with whatever you would like to discuss at the moment (areas that they specialize in, areas that they feel most confident chatting with you about). Here you can review their bios/profiles and see if this is someone that may be the right "fit" for you!
This may prove to be much more advantageous to you than simply going into the General Request line, as this would simply be "luck of the draw" as to whom you get connected with. You are the boss here with all of this and it can be your little way of an interview process! I like to tell all of my members to see this site as going shopping. If you don't find what you want at one store, you can simply move on to the next and shop at another until you find exactly what you need my friend! If you also would like to find what is called a "long term listener" we have those as well and there is a forum dedicated to that. Even if you don't find your "Goldilocks" listener for all of your needs (the one stop shopping kind of deal) choosing this route, you may end up finding a variety of different listeners that you can chat with dependent upon their specialty.
