@pinkTea usually people that dont hire you arent compatible with who you are. Sometimes its nice to have them deny you because then you can find better people later to work with without trying to be someone else. If you do a great job at working, its their loss, and another group out there has the advantage later.

That I realise that I'm not alone and there are so many people on here with problems. Let's all help each other to carry on.

I miss my friend terribly. I told her I needed to take a break from our friendship so that I can sort myself out. Although she was very supportive, Im sad about stepping away. Ugh, I miss her so much and its only been a day.

@purplesloth Remember why you chose to step away from your friendship in the first place , if you focus on anything other than that then you won

@Dobado34 Thank you, youre right. I need to focus. Ive spent too long being sad about it. I need to remember that this is what I wanted.

@Dobado34 I wanted to thank you for your advice. It really opened my eyes to the task at hand.

After reading your reply I got a piece of paper and wrote down and really thought about why I wanted to step back from my friendship and my reasoning behind those thoughts. Then on another piece of paper I wrote down why I wanted to come back. This exercise, as well as your advice really helped me get one step closer to returning to my friendship.

I sent my friend a message late last night detailing my progress and they were very happy for me and couldn't wait until they could have me back.

So, I just wanted to say thank you so much. I really needed the reminder.

I feel sad I've lost myself before ever noticing I was gone. I've loved so much I became an enabler to addiction and I no longer know myself. Ice lost site of my own goals

I was feeling better, about to find a job, started a new relationship... then the seizures started interfering with everything. I'm alone and confused and I have no idea how I'll ever succeed in life. I'm starting to question everything.

Nobody checks in on me anymore or asks if I'm okay. I'm drowning in homework that I have no motivation to do. I can't think straight and all I want to do is smile but it's the hardest thing. If I do it's completely fake.

@discreetLoneliness

Hey, discreet.

There are a few of us on this thread going through exactly what you are right now. I don't know where you're at in school, or how far you have left to go, but hang in there.

Be gentle with yourself. Do what you can, when you can. And remember that you are not your grade.

I repeat: You are not your grade.

Rest, allow yourself to breathe, and do whatever homework/assignments you're able to do. You are supported. You are cared for.

I know you're neck deep in it right now and it feels so impossible, but I know -- you can do this.

@discreetLoneliness

Also, you feel your feelings. I hereby give you permission to STOP smiling if you don't feel like it. :)

Trying to push through real, raw emotions is sometimes much worse than owning them for a bit and then finding your way out. Motivation is tough -- especially near the end of term -- but the energy it takes to put on a smile for the world might indeed be draining you (it often does to me). Allow yourself to be the most authentic version of YOU.

And remember it's okay to be sad and to feel those feelings!

It might take some time, but you'll see the sunlight again in the most genuine, incredible way. It's there when you're ready to step outside and see it. It's never too far out of reach.

Be gentle with yourself.

Emerge gently...but do emerge.

I wasted more time binge watching stupid movies and being crazy when I have exams to review and thus the self loathing begins.
