Other than medicine...
... what else can one do about one's depression? I'm feeling mine creeping in on me again, as it does every fall, but I have a hard time coping with it this time. Normally I just get a little sad and indolent, but this time I feel a lot worse. I don't know what to do with myself. I just wanna lay in my bed and cry. And sleep. I can't get myself out of the bed, and if I do, I end up in the sofa not really watching TV. I just wanna sleep until spring, so I will feel better.
Things I normally enjoy has become dull. I don't wanna ride my bike, I'm actually a little scared of going out. I don't wanna do online roleplaying. I don't wanna write on my book. I can't seem to find the energy to do anything, other than sitting and laying. And I have to go to work tomorrow.
So... any good advice of how to feel better and more energized? Bc I don't have an appointment with my therapist before two weeks from now. I am already taking my meds, but they don't seem to help at all :S
@EvilRegalsReadToo It seems to be quite common for people to find that meds for depression don't help. Often there's some other medication that works better, but finding it can be a long process of trial and error.
Therapists seem to be the same, according to reports I've seen or heard. Some people say therapy made them feel much better after only a few weeks, but some people say they have had therapy for months and there has been little improvement. Finding a good therapist can also be a long process of trial and error.
It sounds like you really need a quick fix right now, just to get you through these two weeks. Unfortunately I am not an expert, so I don't know for sure what might help. If you search online you can find a lot of advice about things to try. For example, some people say exercise helps, but other people say that is unrealistic advice when you feel this way.
I've read that changing your meds, or adding more meds (even natural remedies) can be risky without a doctor's supervision. Perhaps your doctor can help with this, though.
And if your therapist is not available for two weeks, I suppose it's possible that seeing another therapist once or twice in that time might be useful.

@RarelyCharlie I was mostly asking for stuff I can do like... on the spot/right now.
But I have contacted my therapist, to get an apointment with my pchyciatrist so I can get my meds modified. I don't want to try different meds, as I have already tried that and I ended on the one I'm taking now. And I can feel it helps to some extend. If I don't take it, I feel even worse. But maybe I can get more of it or something. That might help. I hope.
@EvilRegalsReadToo Yes, I understand that you need a quick fix right now. I agree—if the meds help a little, then increasing the dose might be the best thing for your psychiatrist to do.
