I am a 20 year old female living wiht my parents and older sister. I have been going through really terrible bouts of depression lately. I'm having a horrrible time fiding a job, (my interview skills are trash and my anxiety makes it worse.) I only have 1 friend and my self esteem is nonexistant. My mom refuses to take me to a therapist. And considering I'm still under her insurance, I can't see one without her knowledge. And since I don't have a job, I can't pay for it out of pocket either. I've also been increasingly suiscidal and my feelings are starting to scare me a bit. I think about it every day at this point. I won't actually do it, but still. Playing video games, reading, exercsing helps a bit, but those feelings are always there. I don't know what to do anymore. Even when I think about how my life might turn around, I just can't see it going anywhere good.

Hey it's okay, everything will be alright.

You can try things and figure out what works for you.

Maybe tell us what are the things you like and then we'll see what happens

I've tried tons of things! I've tried learning taekwondo, learning Korean, learning a new instrument, and yet I still feel like a piece of trash! I don't now what to do. No matter what I do in life, NOTHING seems to get better.

It's really good that you are trying things, it takes a lot to do that.

Tell me, what is that one thing that you like to do so so much, no matter what

Also, i hope you're okay, hoping to hear back from you soon 🙂

It's frustrating that feeling of "stuck" and no options, being dependant on parents that don't care about us yet at that point in life when we can't yet fly on our own. Try to find out maybe if your school is providing a free counsellor or your local comunity. I am not a religious man but sometimes clergy may act as counsellors, you don't have to see a priest but may want to talk to a female clergy member, they would listen to you...

I have been in your point and once again after tens of years of my life I get stuck in a kind of similar situation again...

I hope and wish that thing will unravel and work out for you, hope you find lots of teens here who feel exactly like you or old "teens" who once were in your same situation...

Wishing you good...
