I have not been here long but I trued quick search and was surprised not to find topics about psychedelic assisted psychotherapy. Maybe I missed them.
I keep finding barriers on the topic when I try to ask for info to local experts. I understand it is still in trial phase and many years may pass before it gets approved but when you see all the amount of online info and current trial s and research papers in some of the most renowned institutes how come that in other spheres it seems to be unmentionable?
I'm very interested to know if anyone has participated (not recreational use but actual therapy) esp for treatment resistant depression or for ptsd.
It seems the future of therapy may well shift from SSRI'S and usual drugs... But I cannot find anyone to talk about it. I don't have possibility for any trials in my country so I guess it will be something I may never get to try out.
All the accounts I've read so far are very promising.
And after trying various medications and suffered their ill effects or delayed action I wish we would have an alternative to the current protocols of medication.
Here is just one of many articles :

@anonyLemon4233 There are some interesting thoughts on this by a well-known psychiatrist, together with a huge discussion thread, here: Is There a Case for Skepticism of Psychedilic Therapy?

Thnx will have a look.
But still s u r pr me such an international discussion on here has not been taken up as I'm sure a lot of us will be seeking info at some point
@RarelyCharlie article is from 2019.
Yes I'm sure there is a lot of skepticism as happens when a bit of hype is created.
I never took drugs in my life except prescription ones for therapeutic purposes so I have no concept of recreational drugs which I guess is why this topic encounters scepticism or silence.
Yet so many institutes are working on it John Hopkins, Kings college etc that I would like to see it as a tiny ray of hope in an otherwise hopeless scenario having tried most of legal therapies out there and still struggling with major depression and chronic pain year after year for over 20years despite SSRI'S and psychotherapy.
I think it would be good to create a healthy discussion around it to mirror also the ongoing research
