Painful existence
Sometimes I just can't stand how stupid I am. Like , sometimes I can't help but remember certain things I've done or said and it's tormenting and I feel even more terrible about myself. I don't know how I manage to live with myself when I don't even think I'm a good or worthwhile person. I'm such an ugly person and I can't stand it. I just can't stand it at all. When I try to think positive a million more negative things come up and knock me over. I don't believe in myself. How can I acieve anything? I feel like I will fail all the time. How can one live with such internal pain?
@mimameid
I care.
@mimameid That sort of pain isn't easy to deal with, and I understand feeling stupid about things you've said or done in the past. Sometimes I beat myself up for things I've done, but then, it is in the past and you always have a chance to do things differently in the now. You and the people around you will be able to sense the changes for the better, so even if the improvements you make seem small, they really do make a huge difference. It's never too late to turn it around. <3 You're welcome to talk to me 1-on-1 if you would like.
@CompassionateGirl90 Yeah like, I know that everybody has those days where they feel stupid or regret things in the past, but for me, someone with ongoing depression, it just gets amplified and turns it into "I'm a bad person in general" instead of the normal "I am a human who makes mistakes".
I am feeling better today about this though, thankfully, Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. :) I will be sure to come to you 1-on-1 sometime.
New Endings
Guilt or regret over past situations is one of the hardest things to move beyond because no one can change their past. It's exhausting to dwell on what went wrong in past situations. Be gentle on yourself. Everyone makes mistakes; you have lots of company.
