Personality Change
My depression (I don't want to self diagnose, but it's obvious) has gotten much worse this summer. I feel like I'm a different person; less happy and excitable. There are few things and people that make me truly happy anymore. But I kind of hope people (I don't really have true friends) notice my drastic change in personality and talk to me about it. Because I really want help, though I'm way to anxious to ask (this help would come from the school psychologists/therapists). Is it weird and bad that I want people to notice how different I am? How bad I'm doing?
@ChristmasTreesInTheMoonlight I don't thin it's a bad thing to want people to notice. I've wanted that too - just someone to give me some attention and really as how I am doing. I'm going through a ssimilar thing right now myself. Just to be checked in on, to feel like I matter.
The best thing you can do though is not torely on other people too much. Build yourself up, take time for self-care, take time to find what you enjoy doing, even if nothing seems enjoyable right now. The important thing is to keep moving, keep going. Why? Because you do matter.
It's great if you can ask for help. A big step was going online and coming to 7 Cups today. If you can ask for a counselor's help too, that's even better, but if you're not ready for that yet, that's understandable. Please know that there are great listeners here for you as well <3
Stay strong.
