Personal milestones
I'm three weeks cut free, it's been hard but I've made it through so far. It's been a little scary at times but I think I'm starting to heal with the help of 7 Cups and the wonderful community we are making. Thank you to all the people who have listened to and helped me.

Three weeks? Oh my gosh, that's absolutely amazing, my lovely!
As someone who used to self harm, I know how hard it is to resist for a day or two, let alone a few weeks. The amount of strength you possess is wonderful, and I admire you so much.
@Cadence it hasn't been easy but I've had a lot of incentives, I've wanted to a lot but I have too much at stake to let myself go. My parents told me that if I get caught with cuts again I'd be taken out of school and put in therapy, I can't have that when I have Theatre competition right around the corner! So I've been really pushing myself to keep my self harm to a minimum. *\(^o^)/*
@TroubledThespian
It's amazing that you have a goal that you're trying to meet, or in this case, be a part of. Theatre can make many feel like they're at home. And if it's incentive to not self harm, it's very important!
How have your parents reacted in the past to your self harming? Do you have a good support system? <3
@Cadence it's actually only happened once, with cutting at least, they didn't take it very well, my mom especially but I think they've gotten over it.
@Cadence as for my support system it's recently been brought down to just the people I meet on here. I've had a lot of social issues happen recently that caused me to break down and turn to cutting.
@TroubledThespian
I understand parents not reacting well; they never want to see their kiddo aching to the point where they must harm themselves to feel release. Know what I mean?
But, I am honestly so proud of you, as that is a long time regardless of the circumstance. I'm sorry to hear about the social circumstances, though; people can be really crappy sometimes. I know that's a blanket statement, but sometimes people really know all the right things to say that hurt.
@Cadence thanks, I'd talk more about it but I'd rather do so privately if you don't mind. It means a lot to hear that. Thank you so so much.
