@limePal1448

Hey there, sweet one. Thank you immensely for creating this thread and sharing your feelings, it's no easy feat but you did it, and that's definitely something to be proud of.

This post made me feel a little sad because you don't deserve to feel ashamed or afraid of judgement, least of all for an illness. It's so unfortunate that a majority of society stigmatise what mental illnesses are, and don't realise that they are just as important and real as physical illnesses. I understand how scary it must feel, and I wish I could change the world's view with stigma. Like Jamie did say above, there is no forced need for you to identify your diagnosis with anyone, but you also don't want to feel this shame. Depression is nothing to feel ashamed about, and it's only stigma that causes that feeling of shame. Here on 7Cups, you can freely tell us about anything, and we won't judge you or make you feel ashamed. I know that it's no equivalent to real life; if you choose to, perhaps you can tell your closest loved ones?

My PMs are always open to you, lovely. Just hop onto my profile and send me a message if you want to chat, okay? I believe in you. <3

@limePal1448 I agree with Jamie.

Additionally, as long as you are honest with yourself, you can take steps into a better direction, for yourself.
