Through one of my classes ive been having to take personality test. On all of them i would score a very extremly low score for emotional stability. There was one that specifically measured depression stress and anxiety and i scored severe on depression and extremly severe on stress and anxiety which doesnt surprise me. My parents are getting really frustrated because out of nowhere ill start to cry or i will have this anger. But they werent very understanding when i tried to tell them that its just something that has been happening and that there isnt always a cause. I know that i need help. I know im not doing well. But i dont feel like i could even begin to get my parents to understand.

Sorry to hear your going through this. I see your not sure who to turn to or what to say. I'm glad you have came here.

Parents arnt the first point of call to go to if we really don't wanna tell them something but got to anyway in the end. However, I'm not sure if you will feel better talking to a doctor or counsellor instead? They know more about this sort of thing then anyone.

7 Cups also has therapy here so if you need one on one help it's available anytime of the year.

Hope that helps

Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to share your situation with us. I'm so sorry to hear that your parents aren't patient or understanding with regards to your emotional distress. It's a terrible thing that is surprisingly common, where those who supposedly love and support us fail to do so when we have mental illness/ psychological distress. I do hope that there will be some way that they can be informed, be it through a school talk, reading about it online or simply listening to you.

But if they do not and you would like support, I hope that 7cups can be a comfort to you and that the self help guides can be a way for you to manage it if you can't go for therapy for some reason. Best of luck and please do not hesitate to ask questions on the forums, group chats or with listeners.
