Struggling to get over ending of my 5 year relationship
Last year around this time my partner of 5 years broke up with me and I never saw it coming.
We were supposed to get married last year too. I am really struggling to get past this hurt and to forget them.
My sister got married last year and I had to just be strong so I wouldn't ruin her wedding, this year my cousins are getting married and it feels like a sore reminder of what I lost.
I don't know if I can ever believe in love again or forget this person.
I am trying to do healing things but nothing is helping, I have this heavy heavy feeling on my chest all the time.
It's been almost a year and I feel like this grief is not easing.
I can't talk to anyone because they have their own issues and I don't have friends because I have trust issues because of betrayal in the past but I am so lonely and sometimes I just want someone to listen to me or tell me I'm going to be okay, or have empathy.
This is is killing me inside
I am here. Are you OK? I am probably in a similar situation and I even doubt if there is true love in this world besides use and being used. But no matter what I want you to feel better
Thank you so much
This is is making me so emotional...to hear someone say they are here for me... Thank you .
Right now I'm not okay but I'm fighting really hard to be.
I am sorry that you are in a similar situation
I am really sorry that you are going through this. You should keep in mind that there is no specific amount of time that people get over a break up or anything. People heal and get over things on their own time. So please be gentle with yourself and heal on your own time. In the meantime you could do something that you maybe were missing out on when you were in a relationship such as maybe trying yoga or painting or cooking. Also try to journal your feeling ( writing your thoughts and things you are too sad to talk about aloud in a book) it really helps. It gets easier over time ... so please take your time💜💜💌
I am so sorry that you are struggling. This is a really good place to vent and start healing. Are you also seeing a therapist at all? It might help a bit. @tidylemon5931
