Stuck between a rock and a hard place

Hey guys,

Lately, I have found myself emotionless and stuck in this constant state of depression. Nothing i do brings me joy, laughter, even tears anymore. I fear i am far beyond broken at this point. I lie on my bed for hour staring into nothing and i just feel empty inside. Like everything i was has been scrapped away. I was going to book an appointmeny for the Doctors today but i backed out because i dont want to be on meds but i dont know what else to do. I dont want to do something stupid to try and feel anything but i am just so exhausted of being nothing. The days seem so pointless...

@DonneMoi

lately, I think because I have more time on my hands to think about everything. I try to keep myself so busy to the point I'm overwhelmed so I can't really think about anything else but alas, the busy time period has come to an end and each day is merging into one and i am finding it hard to cope with it all.

@DonneMoi

I do yeah, but the friendships feel like I am constantly there for them but when I need them suddenly they are busy or don't see me. I don't make friends easily and the friends I do have are just not that interested or i don't feel we are good enough friends for me to lay on them what's going on...

@Oakshield i'm sorry and I feel you...a friendship should always go both ways and in depression, even if they could not help, they can keep you compassionate company till you figure things out...i'm really sorry for you...😔😔😔

It feels like nothing I do is right, or like it doesn't matter. Don't really see much of a point in anything in life, often shut up in my room. Dad's anger fits, attitude from coworkers, need for new and higher paying job, barely holding on to current job by a thread, and bouts of depression and sadness, sometimes more "serious", happening more often certainly don't help. Just don't know what there is I can do about any of it.

Hello @Scream1031, it's a good step to share your feelings in here. I need to say that you are not alone, I'm the one who is in a similar situation as well. All we have to do is to move forward, no matter what! . All the Best @Scream1031 😊.

@Goodfriendandlistener, I once heard a saying on tv, "Sometimes life is like a dark tunnel. You can't always see the light at the end of the tunnel. But if you just keep moving, you'll come to a better place." That's easier said than done, but I try to put that saying into practice.

@Scream1031 Yes you are right, "its easy said than done" , we do here suggestions from people who are in other side of the tunnel, sometimes they do help, but sometimes they don't, and when they don't we really have to check whether we are doing it right, try to correct and keep moving forward. That's how I think we should go.

@Oakshieldn Depression often makes everything seem flat and pointless. Unfortunately that includes the things that are known to reduce depression: exercise, drugs, and therapy. It's a trap. Depression lies.
