1. "It's your fault" - Imagine tellling somebody you made a mistake, you were wrong about something or someone and now you feel bad about it and, thos person, instead of supporting you, just says "It's your fault". Blaming it's cruel at this situation, it's disrepectful and less empathic.

2. "But you're so young!" - It's annoying when older people use our age as an excuse to ignore or downgrade our feelings, issues and decissions. Being young doesn't mean we're naive or that we're supposed to not have problems.

3. "That's nothing!" - I hate when I tell my problems to someone else and this person starts to compare my problems to their making mine seem to be less important.

4. "Don't be so dramatic!" - How could I ever trust in someone to share my feelings if they cal me dramatic? If they say I'm overreacting? They don't know the magnitude of my problems, what talking about them means to me and how it makes me feel. Crying, feeling sad, upset or deppressed it's not being "dramatic".

Those are some of the things I hate to hear the most. What do you hate to hear and why?

Things I hate to hear

1) "You have nothing to be depressed about" Just because my life seems to be perfect and that I have no reason to be depressed does not mean I don't feel depressed daily. I hate hearing this because it makes me feel like my feelings are not real and that I am just faking it.

2) "You're just lazy"/"That's no excuse" I hate when I try and tell a family member that I have trouble cleaning my room because my depression has been really bad lately they yell at me and tell me that it is no exucse or that I am using it as a excsuse. Then they will tell me I am lazy for not cleaning my room and that it's not that hard. If only they understood...

3) "I/this person has it so much worse" When I confide in someone about my feelings, and they respond with this, it's so rude and invalidates my feelings as a human being which a person should never ever do to anyone. I get that some people have been through more than me, but that does not mean what they went through should be more important than my feelings. We should all be equal in that regard and be treated with respect

4) "Attention seeking" Telling people I am depressed as a teen can often result in a comment like this, and I hate it because so many people think that teens who are depressed are just doing it for attention or doing it for a trend, when it's so much more than that.

5) "Stop being so emo" (Trigger warning here) Speaking about my depression online, has grown difficult because so many other people think that all depressed are emo and that they all s**lf h**rm, it for sure makes me feel like garbage and that no one will ever take my feelings and emotions seriously
