Too pain to speak

Sometimes your pain is so deep, people may urge you to let it out, but you can't.

Has anyone felt like that? I've lived years and years being silent about the things that caused the pain. I spoke about whatever was acceptable. I don't think I did this consciously. I just masked my pain as a natural instinct. Maybe I didn't trust anyone would understand.

Slowly I've started to share but still there remains so much that gives pain and remembering it is just a trigger that I can't express it even if I wanted to.

@Creamyyy I was silent for years too. Found my voice for a while and then silenced myself again. Maybe we do it like you said because we feel noone understands. And somethings cause more pain by speaking about them. Are there others ways that you might be able to express yourself? Painting or drawing? Poetry or music? I know that's not very easy either. Its ok to take it slowly too - to take little steps with sharing at a pace that's comfortable for you :)

It is okay. You talk when you are ready to talk. Sometimes writing helps a bit in the meantime. @Creamyyy
