Trying not to give up
It's just I'm so stressed out and depressed. Like school is really stressful and I try really hard but my parents always think I'm a failure like my grades are usually 85+ but my friends that they know have like 95+ grades and like basically my whole life I've been compared to them and I always feel like a loser when I'm around them because like I don't even have a talent and haven't found anything I'm good at and my parents barely let me go outside so I usually stay home and use my computer and I'm like really addicted to it cause it's the only thing that takes away my pain and they also force me to be so religious and it's like so hard. Also I feel like none of my friends really care about me that much like I'm always the one feeling left out but like once you get to know me I'm literally one of the kindest people you'll know and like if I really care about you I'll do anything to see you be happy and I'll always be there for you but like all my close friends are drifting away from me and I just feel so alone but I feel like no one really understands my pain except for like my online friend and it feels like everyone has someone who they're really close to and have a soulmate connection with but I haven't found those friends yet and like because of my religion I can't show my hair and like it makes me feel really insecure about myself and I feel like no one will really love me because I dont have good looks and I'll just be lonely forever and never find real friends who understand and care for me and I just feel like a disappointment and I don't understand my purpose in life.

I'm so proud of you. You're incredible. It must be so hard to keep going but you do! I'm super proud of you.
I understand how you feel. I don't really have many friends that actually like me and the ones who do prefer other people to me anyway. It can get pretty lonely. But I've realised the only thing stopping me from changing that is me. I can go make new friends, I can join new clubs, I can talk to people, I can invite people out. It's not too late for me to make new friends. It's never too late. I just decided it was too hard and now I'm deciding that it's not.
It's really important that we don't compare ourselves. We are not other people, we are us and that's not going to change. The only person we should be comparing ourselves to is our past self. Look at how far you've come. You're awesome.
I think if this is something which is seriously impacting you, you need to tell somebody. I have a list of people you could talk to >here<. I know it can be scary but trust me, it's worth it. You deserve help and you won't get that if you stay silent. If you need help convincing people you might like >this< video by Kati Morton.
And since you mentioned stuggling with body image, I'm going to link the new Teen Self Esteem and Body Image subcommunity >here< which you're welcome to join and look for support in.
Good luck. Stay strong. Tell somebody. And remember, you are loved.
@stuckintime92 Aww thanks and yeah it's hard but I'm trying to keep going. Yeah you're right well I'm going to sart high school in a few weeks, so that could be my new start and chance to make new friends. Thank you for the help and you wanna be friends?
@unicorns456
I would love to be friends! I wish you luck with starting high school, I'm doing the same sort of thing.
@stuckintime92 Sorry for the late reply I just saw this and I already started high school and so much has happened. Do you have any social media or anything I could text you on?
@unicorns456
Ah, so it's against the 7cups guidelines to give out social media accounts. I've also started school and it's been super busy. Don't worry about the late reply. How has school been so far? Have you been able to make friends in your classes or join some clubs?
@stuckintime92 Ohh and it's been kind of hard. I've made 1 friend so far, but it's really hard to make friends in high school. I'm trying to be more outgoing and all and trying to get used to everything. It's also a lot of stress they give a lot of homework.
@unicorns456
Hey, well done on making a friend! That's awesome. Hopefully you'll be able to make some more. I do suggest joining clubs etc to meet new people and make friends. And don't be afraid of asking if you can sit with someone. If they're mean or nasty about it, they clearly aren't good friend material anyway. Also, see if you can talk to the people sitting near you in class.
Good luck with all your homework and with everything else. Once you fully settle in, I'm sure everything will be fine.
Hello, I am quite a bit older and I wish I could say wiser but we all have struggles. All I can say is the sooner we are open to them and keep being honest with ourselves. Please do not look back on what if... look forward to what i can try to do.
Take care
