What do you hold on to?
That one person I hope to see again soon...and way too many inanimate objects.
@CoinFountain - Inanimate objects? Sounds interesting. Want to share more about that?
@Chiaroscuro1 I hold onto to knowing how much my girlfriend loves me and how incredibly hurt she would be if I were to take my life. She's never dealt with anyone with depression/anxiety before and sometimes doesn't know how to handle it, but she tries her very best and has never given up on me. Unfortunately a lot of my family don't care about what I'm going through or even acknowledge it (except for my oldest siblings).
@Chiaroscuro1 family
Whenever I feel bad, I can always hear my best friend's voice in my head, telling me how beautiful, nice, awesome, sweet, etc. I am.
I hold on to the love I feel for my daughter.
Someone is depending on me
I hang on to my mother, my brother, my grandmother, and my uncle. None of them would ever really get over losing me, especially to suicide. I don't generally know my own worth, but to them I am irreplaceable.
My horses and my music and my plant life.
@Chiaroscuro1 I try to remember that things can only getter better, its bad now but theres got to be a light at the end of the tunnel
When I first saw this question (as a notification) I thought it was asking what you hold onto that's contributing to your depression, in which I would have said self-doubts.
When things get bad I honestly don't even KNOW what I hold onto. I just know I can't quit.
