What happens if I dial a suicide prevention hotline?

If you are feeling suicidal and that is the only way you feel you can reach out, then go ahead and find out by calling. I don't know how many people here have tried calling, but do what you need to. I've wondered that myself, but have not been suicidal in years. But I wish I had called when I was on the verge of suicide.
