What if you're in a crisis situation and can't call for help?
Well basically the title is the whole question. What if you are in a crisis situation but you can't call for help either because your country doesn't provide such hotlines, you don't have the privacy to talk to one or even you are unsure if your situation is serious enough and it might be just wasting their time.
@Djeidi It's a good question. Here are my thoughts.
If your country doesn't provide any hotlines, the fallback is to call general emergency services. The number to call is different in each country. I believe that on smartphones the international emergency number, 112, works everywhere, but I'm not certain of that.
If you don't have privacy, try to go somewhere you will have privacy. If you can't go anywhere because you're trapped illegally, try to call the general emergency number, even if you can't talk. If you leave the line open the call can be traced and help can find you.
If you're unsure if your situation is serious enough, but you think it might be, call for help anyway.
Doctors are another source of help in most places, of course, even if the crisis is not medical.
I am interested to know which country you are thinking of, if you'd be prepared to reveal that.
