Why can't I just have a normal day...

I wake up, it feels like a good day. I go to school, everyone's fighting, my friends broke up, I failed my tests. I go home, there's no food in the fridge, my mom's too busy to notice me, my sisters too perfect to care. I go to bed, I can't sleep, I stay up for hours and hours staring at the ceiling knowing it's the only thing that cares to look me back in my eyes.

and if thats not how my day goes, it's something. it's always something. someone has a breakdown, my dad texts me, my mom's mad, my friends sad, I'm tired, I have too many tests that day, something... it's always something. I just want to be normal, have normal happy days, have normal happy friends, have a normal happy life, but I can't and I never will, but it's sad to accept that.

It really is tough, this life. You are so strong for going through it. I hope you have better days soon.

I live with these ideas :

The only one that you can control is YOURSELF.

You don't necessarily need a perfect life in order to find happiness, because happiness comes from inside not outside.

You can always set your boundaries if your family and friends hurt you.

You always matter, and if you think you are not try to open up to new people with whom you feel that you matter. It's all about the people you surround yourself with, not YOU.

Normal isn't perfect either. Things will always come up, but that doesn't make days or life bad.

It might help to refocus yourself on those brief moments where things look okay. Keep a list of them rather a list of what went wrong.

This is hard to do, I know. But retraining your brain can make those bad moments easier to handle. @brokenHalos2807
