I know how it feels sometimes when you just want to rant, but don't know who to talk too or even if they will care. Well I care. You're not alone! Please feel free to say whats been on your mind lately, if you want someone to talk too or just want to rant away. I will listen.

i just need someone to "talk" to who I won't be a burden to. I have always been the one who took care of everyone and know how it feels to have to be there for others I don't want to be the "burden".

@dawachter9

Hey, I'm a teen listener so I can't offer to chat with you privately. However, I want you to know that you aren't a burden on people, you have just as much right to talk, voice your concerns and feel safe and loved and okay as anyone else. The fact that you're the designated helper doesn't at all mean that you can only ever be that with your friends/family, but it's understandable that you could feel like you might be disrupting them. Just remember though, you too are a person and you too are allowed to get help, be okay, and have people to talk to. There are many beautiful listeners and people on this site that will be more than happy to listen, I guarantee, but outside of 7 Cups I hope that you find friends/family who are willing to show the same support you do for them.

@dawachter9 So understandable, it's such a difficult thing to wrap your head around that you too are worth something, I know that I struggle with it. And it's a lot easier to "know" something logically than to actually feel and believe it, so I hope you get to the latter sooner rather than later

I hate the feeling of being betrayed, I've been betrayed so much in the past and it made me how I am today. I am insecure about myself, I have trust issues, i get anxiety attacks.. it makes me so paranoid, right now I'm here getting pissed thinking that my guy friend is lying and talking with other girls even though he's been good to me, helping me through a lot of what I go through. I just get so angry and confused sometimes, he means a lot to me and I dont know if that's bad, I really dont want to get hurt. I cant take another heartbreak, especially from him. He tells me he cares about me and how much he misses me, he also tries his best to make sure I have a smile on my face. I get so confused, because I think back on the moments we shared and those bad feelings go away, but eventually they come back...

@Ronnie2470 i have bad trust issues but also I have the bad habit of warming up to people that are nice to me but if they do something that feels off even a little thing I get paranoid and hurt that they're going to betray me. And I push people away

@maxcady157 yeah I feel you, I do that too sometimes. If I get even the smallest feeling of doubt I start to distance myself from people, and I hate it honestly. It affects my relationships sometimes so I'm gonna try my best to overcome those issues and learn to communicate. People say in any relationship communication is key and they're not wrong.

The amount of people that don't take you seriously if you've never been hospitalized is gross. It's not a contest. It doesn't make people less of a risk. Likewise, sharing about struggles often doesn't mean you're not suffering. What is this thing where we tell people "reach out!" and when it happens, the narrative becomes "people who are truly depressed, anxious, etc don't talk about it". Way to shame people right back into silence! What is this gatekeeping lately? I'm so tired.

I feel like such a huge failure in all aspects of life, I can't seem to stick to something. My anxiety and self confidence is so bad, I feel like even my friends don't like me. I don't like my image and end up giving up on exercise (which I love) and binge eating after working hard on myself. It's just a vicious cycle that keeps coming back again and again.

Thanks for being a place to rant :) needed that

I'm tired of the toxic relationship between my mother and I. There seems to be no way of mending the broken pieces. The good memories we have together are constant painful reminders of our once healthy relationship. It hurts knowing I may have to cut her out of my life for my mental wellbeing—especially when I most need her unconditional support and love right now.x

@Jennz I know exactly how you feel ❤️ I'm in the exact same boat. It's the hardest thing in the world to decide to distance yourself or cut off a parent. Your mental health always needs to come first though. Toxic people no matter who they are will break you down. My mom is the most toxic person I know. Make the right decision for you and what makes you happy! Feel better.

@Jennz, I am estranged from my family. It was hard with each and every one of them for me. But it was something that was right for me. I wish you the very best.

I'm heartbroken, depressed and incredibly down about 'breaking up' with someone who I fell in love with but didn't love me back the same way. I decided to cut off all kinds of communicating with this person because the interactions we were having were affecting me emotionally, dragging me down, mostly because I ended up falling hard (parly because at some point she did make me believe she loved me and I believe her words, but her actions were completely different) I didn't really receive nearly the same kind of affection, attention and kindness I was giving her. I feel stupid for having loved her 'so hard' for nothing, and having let her in the way I did. Now I feel extremely anxious and sad, I feel like I can't breathe at night and can't get her out of my head and it's consuming me. I fall asleep crying most of the time which makes me feel more pathetic than it already is. Why should one suffer for someone who doesn't deserve it? It's not fair. I feel she also took my confidence and self-steem away and don't know how to get it back, if that makes sense. Because of this whole covid-19 situation and the lockdown in my country, I can't even go out of meet with any friends which makes it harder.

So I don't know how to handle this situation. I don't think I like this idk if it's me being desperate or I generally have some feelings for this person. But the thing is he is kinda socially awkward and I don't think he talks to girls a lot. We are friends but he texts me like every day saying "hey, how is your day going?" and then asks if I want to call like every day. Sometimes it gets a bit too much but other times It can be alright. I don't know how to handle this situation because I'm not really looking to date anyone as well as I don't think he likes me like that because of past issues. Am I looking into things too much? Idk but what I do know is that I am confused with my feelings and also confused about how to handle this because I am worried I might hurt his feelings.

On another note. This guy has things that I guess I kinda just want to help with as a friend. Sometimes by the way he texts or just calls and talks about I kinda get ticked off in a way. Idk if I'm being a control freak and I know its not my place but sometimes I want to comment on these things for him to change on how he acts. Maybe its because he hasn't been around many girls he is confused about what to talk about. And also with stuff in the past, many of his friends in the past have come up to me and bugged me about if I would date him and we kinda ended on a bad note because of that and now I am here with a newly kindled friendship and a bunch of confusing emotions. I know this is complicated but advice in any way is very helpful towards me. Thanks a lot :D

Ok. To start with I know what I'm doing isn't right, correct, or healthy. I know this and I do it anyway. I drink too much alcohol. I know it's not right to drink every night but I do it anyway. I do it so I don't have to feel. So I can distract myself. So I can pass out without thinking. I know it's a terrible coping mechanism and I don't feel strong enough to deal with my pain. I'm lucky enough to still have a job. I'm lucky that my husband hasn't seen my problem yet. I know drinking will catch up to me soon. I know all this and yet I'm still too weak to stop. I know this sounds life it belongs in a different thread or group but I truly believe that the reasons for my drinking isn't my depression but it's my self medication. My unhealthy self medication. When I drink I can cry. Whey I cry I feel relief. When I'm relieved tomorrow is better so. Drinking is bad. But drinking allows the emotions out. I don't know what else to do to get the emotions out. To be able to cry. To feel and not feel at the same time.
