does anyone else...
does anyone else have those days where one minute you're doing/feeling good, actually present and in the moment, and then the next thing you know, you're stuck in your head, feeling like you're fighting what seems to be a losing battle?
Because today has become one of those days. And all I can seem to think of is everything I could have done differently. The things that I have gone through that have changed me to the core. I remember who I used to be and think of all the ways that person is no longer. Some days I don't know who I am anymore. It's almost like I know who I want to be, but I can't ever seen to get there, to become that person. To not let anxiety and depression rule my life and emotions like it does. It's a difficult battle most days, and while some days I question whether the fight is really worth it, I'll still keep on fighting.

That sounds like a difficult day, and yeah, I have a lot of those days too. I think these days have a lot to do with growing up. As we grow older we change as people, we change in the way we see things, how we think, how we act, and how we feel. Everything changes at some point, and that's a hard thing to wrap our heads around and be ok with. It's especially hard when our emotions start to overwhelm us, whether it's depression, anxiety, loss, anger, etc. Life is a very hard sometimes, and yeah it can start to feel like an uphill battle, but it is important to keep fighting, to make our way up the hill. This is the life we are in, there are changes and hardships but we are here for a reason, and we will find that reason while making the most of the time we have. Accept the hard days, cherish the good, and keep fighting no matter what.

The fact that you keep on fighting is the most important part. That vision you see of yourself and where you want to be is worth chasing even if it seems impossible because sometimes it's all you have to keep going. I, too, hase the illusion that I'll some day be healthy and happy and put together and right now, I find myself in the same spiral you're trapped in.
We wake up every day hoping today will be "the day" that it all just ends and we don't have to continue to fight this constant battle against out own heads anymore.
You're doing an incredible job. Try to latch on to anything you find that makes you feel more happy, makes you feel like even a shred of who you want to be. Pet dogs, take a walk, watch fish in the pet store, pick up as craft or new DIY on youtube. Take a road trip at night somewhere you can stare up at the stars, whatever helps you connect to those small moments of comfort.

yeah, I have those days too. it's very hard to deal with

i have a lot of days like that as well. Particularly recently. Its a horrible feeling, an out of control one that makes you feel so hopeless, right? But remember, or try to remember, even when you cant control it, you are not your anxiety and depression. And its okay not to be okay, its okay if you cant manage to be present. Just hang on, hold on tightly, dont slip out of the sky. Hold on. Talk to someone if you need to, you will get there. I know you will.
