Logically speaking, it's unlikely that every single person hates you, since hatred is a pretty strong emotion that takes a lot of intentional effort and energy. Still, even knowing that, sometimes it still feels that way. Especially if one lived a lonely life for a long time, which is what it seems like for you.

Communication and connection to others is really hard, I've found. (Not to say that I know how you're feeling or something, since that's assuming.)

Just parallels my experience, since I don't think I've ever had friends either. Even if it's only somewhat similar, I can kind of sympathize- I'm sorry you feel this way. I hope you feel a bit better soon.

Hey there. I know you wrote this yesterday but I hope you're feeling at least a little bit better? Have you taken some time to do something you enjoy? I relate so much to this, but as hard as it is, you can still find your people. While you wait, it's actually a good time to discover yourself. By no means am I trying to interrogate you, lol, but maybe consider what your strengths are? Or your values? From there, it can be easier to identify what kind of boundaries you want (you DESERVE) so that any new potential friends you make you can make sure they're a good fit for you. Bullying and emotional abuse are horrible. You deserve better.

It gets better. xx

Yo, I saw that yesterday and I was getting really heated. The people in that chat weren’t actually helping. Just wanna let you know man, I understood how you were feeling. I tried saying something but they already moved on to the next person and was adamant in speeding through everyone like they wanted to get it over with. I lost a lot of my friends recently and it made me wonder why? Did I do or say something wrong. But then I thought, if they would drop me so easily because of one thing, they weren’t worth keeping as friends anyway. I don’t think it matters how many friends you have. Only the quality of the friendship and the right friends to have that with. That one person kept saying that you had a bad attitude and you give out negative energy, you get back negative energy. But I didn’t see it that way. I gave all my loyalty and love into my friendships and I didn’t get that back. Shit happens. So just remind yourself of the things you do have and work on bettering yourself to get the things that you want. Stay strong. 💪

I was mad too. And when you encourage them they ignore you and just skip on you. Not even a thank you. I don’t join those” chats” anymore. You can’t even ask questions. Just weird. But man at least we know not to join anymore. We can just help people ourselves.

Exactly, it’s so weird that you only get 7 minutes max and if you go over that, sorry on to the next. 😂

Hi, I host the Sharing Circle sometimes. I'm sorry that you haven't felt supported. I hear you about the time limit, but the limit was placed because there's usually a lot of people who want to share. We take turns sharing, and the Sharing Circle starts every hour, so realistically, the timing is pretty tight if you want to give everyone a turn. You can make the most of your 7 minutes by knowing what you want to say. I bet it's tougher if your thoughts are jumbled or if you're using the app on a mobile phone, rather than a laptop, and for some, there's no getting around that. Members are always welcome to rejoin the queue when it's reopened. You can also join the Support Room 24/7 for an open chat with no time limit. Just speak up and say you need support. Also, you can snag a listener for 1-on-1 support whenever you wish.

I hope you'll join the Sharing Circle again and give it another try.

@Cleardiamond21

There are pretty specific rules to the Sharing Circle. The rules are put in place like that so that it resembles an hourly meeting like you'd get from a support group. The rules are meant to be the same, so members know what to expect when they come into the circle. Just opening up is hard for some people, just sharing and showing vulnerability can be difficult to some, so the rules stay the same, so folks will know what to expect. There are no surprises. You won't be faced with difficult questions that you don't wish to think about or answer. You won't be judged. And you can share uninterrupted if you'd like, or you can receive encouraging words. And when it's your turn to share, people will actually listen. Fully listen. In order to ensure that happens, we close the queue (the line while someone is sharing (taking their turn). The queue will open again shortly. When the queue is open, type * to share.

You're more than welcome to join us in the Sharing Circle. It's a great way to find support. You just gotta learn the rules. We'd love to see you there again. Please note that active suicide topics are off limits, and you'll be told to log off, so you can access crisis support. You can't use hyperbole about that stuff. 7-Cups takes that seriously. I'm glad you came to the circle last night. You had lots of support. Many of us were rooting for you. We'd love to see you again! ❤️

These guidelines ensure that everyone gets the time to share uninterrupted and that we are all a supportive presence in our circle. View our full guidelines here https://tinyurl.com/SharingCircleGuidelines. A few are here:

(1) Please do not ask questions or give advice to the sharer and keep supportive phrases short.

(2) Only members can share.

(3) Please do not interrupt other shares to share your own story.

(4) Please break your share into short sentences.

(5) Please limit your share to under 7 minutes.

(6) Type ‘Over’ or ‘Done’ as a separate message to show that you are done sharing.

(7) If the share is triggering, please send, “Trigger Warning” and the topic before starting the share.
