hey artists, does depression effect your artwork?

so i've been doing college apps recently, and i want to go to art school to pursue photography. i just have a lot of trouble though accepting that my work is good, or having any energy to go out and take photos. i see other high schoolers work and just immediately shut down, because there's no point if everyone else is better than me, right? do any other artists feel this?

@Aquxrius

Yes, I'm in a cheap art school where everyone can come if they pay the school fee studying cartooning and animation. Because of my depression, trying to make art makes me cry or have anxiety and/or leaden paralysis etc. Even if I do manage to start, drawing just makes me fall asleep really quickly most of the time. So in short: it virtually makes me unable to do art at all. I personally don't think that others are better than I am when it comes to drawing skills but at least they get something done. I just don't enjoy drawing, painting or life anymore.
