i hate working.
i dont want to have to work anymore. im a 20 year old college drop out. my dad died when i was 17 and its just been my mom, my sister, and me. i got a job at a grocery store to help my mom with bills. i hate it. i hate having to pretend im happy when im dealing witch customers. each day i drive to work, i wish a freak accident would happen so i dont have to go in. ive been looking for other jobs but theyre either retail or factory work in my town unless i have a college degree. i wish i was physically disabled so i could just get money from the state. we cant even get EBT bc my mom makes too much money but not enough to afford the bills on her own. i feel stuck and i wish i could just sleep forever and ignore everything and everyone.
Sorry you are feeling this way. Try making your job fun. Have fun with co-workers. B.S. with them and see if you can make people laugh. That's what I did at my last boring job anyway. The job itself was boring, but I had fun with the people. Now I work at home, which sounds like a dream, but there's no other adults to talk to anymore.

no one likes working period ........
in most jobs people make the difference if you can be social and make friends ... the best jobs i had had good people co-workers even if the actual job requirements were tedious and boring....
I can see you feel stuck in having bills to help with for your mom which can turn a job into an obligation.... the accident comment seems a bit unrealistic as many on any sort of disability will tell you it is not a picnic and often very low amounts of money.....
while you never said what job you have you seem to look down on retail and factory work have you done those and disliked ? retail can be fun or horrible again about the people and the situation....and some jobs on the surface do not really show what is possible. i person i know took a job MOST think I would NEVER and so this place had hard time filling them they pay for incentive to do a correct and fast job .... if someone was to ask my friend what do you do they may look down on the category ( warehouse type) but he knows because he is hard worker and works their system very well he is making A lot more then anyone would guess ....i have seen the pay stubs
it is not about the job / the industry............. it is about attitude and you are not in the right frame of mind to see it. try something else what is the worse thing to happen you like it....
apply for things anyway .........and maybe the degree aspect in some it more of a weeding out applicants type line that many will not apply ..... i did that talked my way into a couple of positions because the degree req'd in ad was set out to discourage mass applications of everyone.
my disability comment was a little insensitive but the checks are more than what i make which is why i said it. i work at a grocery store cashiering. i cant work at a factory because i have back problems so i can’t lift a lot of things. i will keep looking for other jobs though. but you’re right, its not the jobs, its me. i’m in a really bad spot right now. thanks for the advice though. i will use it.
