i think i might have depression
I don't know what to do, i feel so sad and hopeless, I can't speak about my issues with my family because they wouldn't understand. I started feeling like this nearly three years ago, I'm sad and I feel lonely, I don't have energy to get out of bed and do things, I started eating compulsively to feel something too. I'm studying a bachelor's degree that I hate and every end of semester I'm reminded of how stupid I am, all my classmates graduated last year and I'm still here struggling to get a pass, I wish I could just drop it but what would I do next? I have no clue on how to re-direct my life and I feel so miserable... everything is so dark right now
@x35315684 hey sorry to hear about your woes. University can be daunting. Keep in mind we all grow at our own pace and none of us has all the answers at once. While others may pass or have found their passion, you might be in the league of those who are discovering yourself , and there is no shame in that.. I'm glad you've opened up on this forum. Don't bottle ur feelings. The more you express, the more you'll have a way out of your difficulties. Collectively we grow. We are all here for each other to help and support.
The more that you can talk about all of this the better. You do deserve to feel some peace. Do you talk to anyone outside of your family about how you are feeling? I bet there are people at your university that you could talk to. @x35315684
You are dealing with loneliness and I agree with this that this is the major cause of depression and stress. Last year I also suffered from some kind of related situation with you but now I'm completely fine and living my life happily. This is due to I consult with some good mental health therapist and with the help, guidance, and practices of the therapist I will be able to overcome my issue. For you, I suggest you the same to consult with some good therapists in your surroundings this is really helpful for you.
