my mother doesn't want me to get better
today i talked to a doctor on the public hospital and he said i had to go to see a psychiatrist, but I'm 17 and as it's a public hospital my mom should go there and schedule a day for me to talk to him, he could give me a real diagnosis and maybe medication if i need, but I can't schedule by myself, that's how it works here in brazil. but I'm pretty sure she didn't do anything, i gave her my documents and she went to the place the doctor told us to go to schedule it by car, and I should meet her there by bike, and it's not that far, in ten minutes i got there and she wasn't, there was a little line and she couldn't have done that so quickly, i called her and she said she had already, but that would be impossible, and I asked her about the paper the doctor gave us and my documents, she said she left the paper there, and seemed very nervous, she really doesn't want to help me, for her it's better see her daughter attempting suicide each two months than looking for help
@littlesadcutebunny I'm so sorry to hear that. Unfortunately there is a huge stigma surrounding mental health in certain regions of the world. Maybe you could try calling a few hotlines?
