Being Lonely is a bliss or a curse?

There are lot of books talking about loneliness, how do people feel. There is always difference taken out of 2 terms- loneliness and solitude. But every feeling exists. Being lonely never feels nice but numb maybe, to think like who will be there for us, are we just breathing daily and no one around to watch us or maybe be with us. Or Being lonely is living all with yourself that turns out to be an eternal bliss. No rush, no pressue. Just us?

What are your thoughts about it?

I honestly feel that hooman experiences are too unique and ever-evolving to be confined within some generalised overview.

To answer your question though, I think it can be both, honestly. And maybe the difference isn't even in being alone, but in how we experience it.  Sometimes being alone feels peaceful. You get to exist without having to explain yourself, accommodate anyone, or constantly be “available”. There can be something really beautiful about having your own company and not needing noise around you all the time.

But loneliness feels different to me. It’s not necessarily about having no one around, but about feeling like there’s no one you can truly reach for. And that can hurt I guess?!

So I don't think being lonely is an eternal bliss, nor do I think being surrounded by people automatically saves us from it.

Maybe what we actually need is the ability to be comfortable with ourselves and have people we feel safe with and can genuinely connect with when we want to.

Personally though, I’d prefer the term solitude over lonely/loneliness any day. I function better when I’ve tons of alone-time haha!

This description of solitude/being lonely makes me feel so much better 🥹

The way you put it into words is perfect!! Wanting to be alone, but it’d still be nice to be able to have a right-hand person to share your daily thoughts and feelings with, and vice versa.

I think what us as humans have to do is just find our own way through life, however we manage to.

I wouldn't say it's bliss 24-7 and I wouldn't say it was a curse either. The thing with being on your own means, there's a lack of support and chit chat. You learn to be resilient to survive.

On the other hand, you get to know your character, what do I need? What do I like? What do I want from life and what are my dealbreakers? Some do not take the time to looks inwards and self reflect.

It also means, a lack of pressure to share, to entertain. There can be much more peace, without arguments or game playing or duplicitous people, saying one thing and doing another..

I prefer solitude because it means I'm no longer being used and taken for granted.
