Broken
I can’t seem to get out of this funk. I can’t stop thinking about all the things my ex told me. She was the only one that fully understood what was wrong with me, and how I was feeling. I feel like I can’t be completely honest with anyone else. I know that how I’m feeling right now it’s not completely due to the break up. It’s just the depression that I’ve been having. But the break up and everything that was said and done is having a huge impact on me. I know I shouldn’t care but she said it did, but I can’t help it to overthink it because of my anxiety. All I keep thinking is what did I do to deserve all of this? Why can’t I just be back to normal. If someone like her, who deals with the same issues, who knew all of my deepest secrets, and told me how much she love me, just quit on me and leave me? I always felt safe with her, and I always felt like I could be completely honest with her. I don’t think that I can just open up to everyone and just let them know what’s going on in my head. I don’t want to scare anyone else away. I just can’t do this anymore. I just want to be gone and not here anymore.

i’m not entirely aware of the details behind your breakup but I don’t think you’re necessarily at fault for it. Sometimes two people just don’t work out or the other person just isn’t stable enough within themselves to stabilize someone else. I mean, if you’re both unsteady on your feet and try to support each other, one or both of you are bound to fall. But then again, I could be wrong and there might have been some toxic things you did without realizing. It happens y’know. All you can do in that case is listen to the other person and try to get better. I think you should view this relationship as a learning experience, y’know, to be a bit more optimistic. And opening up to people is a vital step in recovery. You should do it even if you don’t want to and even if you’re afraid of getting hurt. Better to come out of your shell, even if you get beaten and bruised, so you can see the light. Personally, I think it’s better than staying in the dark cave, just drowning, painfully and slowly, by yourself in sorrow
