I don't know how to cope anymore

I haven't had any relationships in 5 years. It's such a painful aching hole sometimes, and I can't make sense of it.

I genuinely have no-one, I don't think I've ever had anyone, who truly saw me. I feel so detached so often, and it's really exhausting. It's so hard to even try and talk to people, because I'm so anxious, and vulnerability triggers a complete mental shutdown in me, so even if I knew what to say, my throat would lock up before I could say it. Not to mention I live in a remote area, so there aren't places to meet people anyways.

Exercise and journaling keeps me busy, distracted, for a while, but only for a while.

I haven't been in school for the past 3 years, but I started at a vocational college again this year. Only after a month though, I'm pretty much burnt out. I don't think I can succeed as long as I'm in this mental state.

I'm just tired of it all, I can't see how any of it could get better.

@neinspam

🥺

I'm sorry you are struggling.

When we try to solve everything all at once, it becomes overwhelming and it's easy to feel defeatist.

Negative thoughts consume us .

It's hard being lonely and wanting some genuine connection .

It's important to start a all with the thing at a time, feeling better in yourself, getting to a good and confident place.

This gives you space to work on your self esteem and self worth.

Then get through vocational college.

I know you live remotely but online opens up a world of dating and with it less pressure.

I genuinely wish you all the best 💜💕

@neinspamI’m really sorry you’re feeling so tired and alone. You’re stronger than you know for keeping going. Things can get better, even if it’s hard to see now. You deserve hope and support. Keep holding on—you matter so much.

@neinspam I'm so sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. It sounds so tough and overwhelming, and I'm proud of you for reaching out for help on here.

No matter what, remember that you are NOT alone. You are so so loved.

I can definitely relate to having social anxiety and feeling overwhelmed when meeting people. It happens to everyone, and it can be really hard to figure out what to say or actually say it. It's so important to be kind to yourself and take small steps! Being on 7 Cups and meeting new people virtually here is a great place to start.

Eventually when you feel ready or comfortable, you can try reaching out to support groups, volunteer/community initiatives (soup kitchens, animal shelters, etc.), or clubs (perhaps at your college) where you can meet new people in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. When you're there, I know it can be really hard to "just talk to people"--try to take some deep breaths, remember you're there for a reason, remember that you can step away any time, and just focus on treating people with love and respect in every moment.

The journey may be tough, and there will be hardships, but know that it WILL work out!! With practice, you WILL feel more comfortable putting yourself out there, and it will pay off. Always make sure to rest when you need to!

As for school, same thing applies--rest as much as you can and take small steps!! Don't pressure yourself to do everything at once. A technique I like: set a timer for 25 mins of deep work, then 5 minute break (walk outside, open a window for fresh air, get some water, stretch your legs, etc.) Keep going--you're growing in the process.

You can do this rockstar!! Me, everyone on 7 cups, and those around you are all rooting for you! We're here whenever you need it. I'm sending you so much love, hugs and prayers--God is always with you 💖
