I feel lost

Hello all. I don't know exactly what to do with my life and how I feel each day. I feel I am lost with what I'm supposed to be doing in my life and that I am constantly feeling like I'm chasing everyone close to me away. I don't know how to change this mindset, no matter how good I may feel one day, there will always be these thoughts returning to me again to remind me how terrible I think I am and how I deserve to be left alone with nothing. I just want to know how anybody who may have felt this way got past this? Is there a way? Thank you in advance for any advice, love and light x

Yes, there is always a way! :) It could help you to remember that you are not your thoughts. Thoughts only become real when we invest into them by believing them. You have the power to change your thoughts and to choose to think thoughts that uplift you and help you to create a life of harmony. Meditation, inner work, and acknowledging your capacity as a conscious creator can help you :)

@MichaelaCares thank you for your encouragement and advice, I have been trying these methods but they only seem to work a short while before I feel down again. I always wonder, what if I lose all my friends no matter how hard I try not to? Am I always going to somehow push them away like this? I just really feel my fear of abandonment has become real :(

You say that these methods only work for some time before you feel down again. In this case, it will help to balance the mindset methods with emotional techniques to uplift your emotions and clear old/blocked emotions. You could also incorporate more of what makes you feel good in life to increase happiness :) You may need to dig deeper into your belief systems too, and see if they are true for you, or if they need changing. There's a saying: "What you resist, persists". You may need to consciously work with your fear of abandonment so that you can clear the cycle and begin creating anew. We are always creating our reality, whether we perceive it as good or bad :)

Hello, I have also felt this way and still feel lost sometimes. I fear that my tendencies to isolate myself and difficulties with being vulnerable chase away my closest friends. I notice that I feel this when I spend too much alone with my thoughts and I’m able to convince myself that i deserve to be alone and that everyone hates me. Fighting off these depressive thoughts are not easy, but it is possible to do so. For example, I’ve been trying to go on walks more or go for a drive to get out of my head and out of the house. I have to remember that my depressive thoughts are not true and that I have the power to think differently. I can talk to a friend and realize they don’t hate me, it was all in my head anyways. I think it’s great that you are on here sharing your story! Strength isn’t about being invincible, it’s about learning how to overcome your weaknesses. Be aware of how far you have come and show yourself some love. I wish you the best.

Yes, I used to be this way. To be happy is loving yourself first. No one deserves to be alone. If you feel low self esteem then think deeply on why is that. Is it your looks? Your personality? Or another thing? Just remember even when you feel alone you aren't alone, because without you knowing you are in someone's thought and heart.
