@roselynace22

hi rose, welcome to 7 cups and depression support!

that's a completely normal thing to feel and you're in the exact right place <3 although we may be surrounded with people, even our family that loves and cares for us, we can still feel lonely and that's a real and okay thing to feel. there are lots of reasons why we may feel alone even when we aren't alone physically, and that can widely vary between different people! i have felt lonely many times before too although i was surrounded by my friends/family, and in my case, i learned that it was more of an emotional loneliness. sometimes we may feel emotionally isolated from others which is more than normal - it can be hard sometimes to form that emotional connection with people, no matter how physically close to them we are. what do you think may be causing your sense of loneliness? maybe that can help you figure out where to go from here! from some research i have done on loneliness, i read that it can be helpful to connect with self-love and appreciation, perform acts of kindness, and giving back by making sure other people know they are loved and cared for as well as ourselves. how do you feel about those? HERE is also a lovely post on coping with loneliness if you're interested in checking it out, and HERE is a great self help guide on loneliness!

all of us on 7 cups care about you and are here to support you <3 i hope you're able to get the best support you deserve here, you got this!
