I’m really sorry you had a bad first experience. There are lots of online self tests, but those are not actually made for giving you a diagnosis. Usually they are there so you can see if you might need to go to a therapist. There are a lot of therapists so maybe talking to your regular doctor to figure out something to do might be a good option. Lots of medical doctors know at least basic mental health knowledge and some can refer you to a better therapist who might listen more. Also at regular doctor appointments there can often be a depression screening, though I don’t know if that’s the case everywhere. Keep in mind too that there will always be some people who don’t understand mental health and that could apply to your doctor so if that happens maybe you could ask a trusted friend to help? It’s always up to you. I hope you are able to get the help you deserve!

Take care, -Jacklynn

Sorry to hear that depression is an option. Depression has many signs, like apathy, tiredness, sleeplessness or sleepiness all the time, anxiety and many others. Talking to a listener who has personal experience with depression might help to identify signs. It is said that you had a negative experience with a therapist. I believe there is no need to push yourself, you might consider also group therapy when it comes to it, it would be very different from therapy 1-1. You may also try a self-help guide (https://www.7cups.com/depression-help-online/), if you see your state is improving after trying a few techniques, you may consider learning more about depression.

The most important is to remember you are not alone and here is a whole community that is here to support you💜
