Hey everyone Hope all is well. My ex girlfriend broke up with me a month ago andd it is wayyy harder than I thought. I moved out of her house and to another country and I just miss her even more. I cannot get any sleep at night. Even in the day I am not able to focus in anything because thoughts of her come back to haunt me constantly. I feel completely depressed and hopelessh

What should I do?

Always hard after a breakup and some seem permanent and some maybe a flicker is there .... if you only think of the good times of the relationship...

moving out and to another country seems permanent .... your thoughts are they would have / could have or i want to go back and face what difficulties that broke you up.

if you feel it is permanent try to keep yourself focused on a new path ... let go of what if and knwo you future is ahead of you not behind.

@emotionalPomegranate57 is it over for real? If not you should contact her and appologize and say you want to make up for whatever fault you did and prioritize her more this time. If yes you should try to get over her. try working on your selfesteem. There are many girls/women. I know its tough but you just make yourself unattractive by whining over one girl. Unattractive to your exgf and unattractive to new ones. Ignore and forget her completely, repress every thought about her and try focus on yourself and your work and your new home. And be honest with what fault you might have done and try working on improving that. Try see the lesson in it and learn from that, what could you have done differently. Again i know its tough and not easy. Life is never easy

Those first few months are the hardest. Are you eating and drinking water okay? Getting outside at all? Sometimes focusing on the physical helps the emotional.@emotionalPomegranate57

It’s clear she had a huge impact on you and was a core part of your life. It’s hard to move on from loss, even if it is not always seen as a loss. I can’t imagine the amount of grief, depression, and hopelessness you feel about this situation. Sometimes, people feel like there’s no hope for happiness ever again in the future. It may take some time to heal, and that’s okay. The path to acceptance is hard. Although I cannot offer you advice, I can leave you some questions for reflection.

What do you miss the most about her? What does it say about your needs? What are ways you can meet these needs without being in a relationship?

What do you think you learned from this experience? What were some difficulties that you encountered with her?

What are some things that can help you feel happier/have helped you in the past? Are there any goals you have for the future? What kinds of activities help you to stop thinking for even for a few moments?
