Every get angry at God?
~~Please excuse this fruitless, cathartic and angry rant about Gods infinite apathy in regards to the immense amount of suffering my-self and others endure every minute of every hour of every day of every week. I alternate between belief in God and atheism/agnosticism. Today, I choose atheism because I cant believe a good god would allow, not only my suffering but the suffering of so many of his children in the world. The worst part is that I have yet to fully shake off the belief in a good and personal God due to the Christian-fundamentalist upbringing I experienced. So, from time to time I cry out to God for answers, I believe I am owed that much. Im not one of these self-hating Christians who thinks we are too small to demand questions and to be angry with God. If I was brought into existence by a higher power who threw me and others into a joyless, pain-filled existence, I deserve answers! A mean God would say something like, its impossible for the human brain to fully understand my plan etc. Well, apparently we are governed by a sadistic God because when I cry out to God there is nothing but deafening silence. Im not even asking God to remove my pain or give me all the answers. I only want to know one thing, IS MY SUFFERING A PART OF A GREATER PLAN/PURPOSE? I can sum it up into 4 words, Is the plan perfect?. What I mean by this is, is all this suffering part of a Perfect pre-ordained plan in which an exponentially greater good will come from it the future? If it is, I can endure. If my suffering is simply due to a genetic predisposition and chronic stress from running a business and I just happened to have been the victim of chance or genetic lottery and this disease (depression) is going to grind me down day after day until Im the shell of a man I used to be, then this world is pointless and we should all kill ourselves or live like a nihilistic until we die of an STD or from a heroin overdose. All the while these thoughts are going through my brain, God must be kicking back on a lawn chair just watching the world, society and individuals self-destruct. Sorry for the negativity folks, I just need to vent. Anyone else like to shake their fist at God every once in a while?
Hello,I know exactly how you feel,I feel like the ones who have a harder/tougher time are the ones are the ones with greater purpose,if u can over come it then the stronger you become n help others become strong as you are...jus my opinion
I do and I always feel bad after😿
I always question God and what he does and because of that i'm always getting lectured. At night while my sister prays i just lay in my bed and look at the ceiling. Then i feel bad that i'm questioning him😳
I don't believe in any gods. There are literally hundreds to choose from. Which one are you mad at?
There's no plans or god, it just sequence of conditions brought you here in this situation, and you must take a decision and get some balls to make it,
I agree completely. thats why im mostly atheist.
Im here to say goodbye. Im uninstalling the app because its too laggy and glitchy.

No, I do not.
I get angry and I have a lot of questions. But then i don't know what to do because i feel i need to believe in God and i need a connection with him. But i don't know how to connect, how to believe in "God's plan", His promises if i just hurt and hurt and hurt with no answers, no understanding.
@faithfulTriangle377
interesting post, raised many questions in my mind personally ( I'm a closeted atheist in a very religious family) and i think, yes i used to get angry at god while i was still coming to terms with what exactly my beliefs were at the time. It was an enjoyable rant to read.
@NewRomantic677 - Do you find it difficult to not believe as your family do? You say closeted, so do you stay silent when they have a religious conversation or make religious remarks? Does it frustrate you? Do you feel isolated? What do you think their reaction will be if they had to know what you are thinking and what you believe?
@Chiaroscuro1 yes, it does get quite frustrating at times when they get into religious discussions.. Definitely scares me as I start worrying about how they'd react if they found out I am aethist.
I understand. I also do not believe as my family do. I feel it will be cruel to take away this thing that comforts them, but then when I have kept silent for too long I have outbursts. Even if I can keep my mouth shut, sometimes my body language is very revealing I think. And then I suppose I worry them even more than I usually do. It's difficult.
@Chiaroscuro1 yup, been there before. -hugs- we can do this. Go us!!! I guess what scares me is that I can't hide it forever... And I also feel bad about not believing in something that makes them feel so awesome..
Yes I do get angry with God sometimes, I used to do much more so especially as a child. I think anger with God is very understandable and while it is not helpful it is part of normal human relationships, so why would it not be part of our relationship with God, more so when we take into consideration the Christian belief that God is a father figure and we come to him as children. It is hard when God knows so much more than us and at the present time we are in a world marred by sin so cannot always see his perfect plan. I saw a spoof advert recently where a car runs over a young child, of course it is a tragedy but then you see the sign "Braunau" Austria and the mother calls out "Adolf!". He would have become Hitler.
