Going unnoticed, nothing I do matters

At this point I'm just accustomed to it now. I'm without friends offline and/or much of anything enjoyable to look forward to. Others around me already know someone great who they're friends with..I feel like the "last resort". My future is uncertain as I haven't truly found myself and what I feel called to..I only thought I knew. In the past year or so hobbies I normally enjoy I've been trying to plant myself in front of. I've been forgetting things I didn't used to. I've been going through all this and more all alone, my prayer is that one day soon this will all be different, for the better.

@ramSpiral2500 sorry you are going through a difficult spell. This can happen to all of us. Some people call it growing pains when we are not who we used to be and not quite who we are becoming. It is very awkward.

I want you to know that people at 7cups think you are important. Sometimes helping others in some unknown way gives us the joy that we have been trying to get from our friends. Try answering a few posts on forums or offer your opinions on announcements. You matter and so I hope you feel that comfortable here at 7CUPS.

I like your thoughts that things will be better soon. Keep thinking for the best outcome.

@soulsings Thank you for your support. smiley Trying to help others how I can is what I just joined for as I'm looking into figuring out just how to go about it. As alone as I feel and want support, I want even more to have love to offer those who want and need it.

@ramSpiral2500 New to app also. But I am strangely encouraged to know so many others are lonely too. We shouldn't be, but our illnesses often make it difficult to enjoy being around others.

Here I think we can share feelings and experience. Since I am in my 50s, I can give you hope that many many changes are ahead for you. Online friends who support us can be so empowering.

I truly appreciate your help ( though I didn't figure out app til now). So great you are helping others! And I hope your family supports you too. Hugs.

@stillheretoday How awful it is to feel alone, especially when around others. It doesn't feel like anyone is willing to stop and want to check in with how you're feeling, unless they know you on a deep level. At the same time I don't think it's good to rely on others to get us feeling better..doing that is pretty much guaranteed to depress as you could be left hanging or waiting a long time. It's very tough considering it's not easy to find love from within sometimes.

Yeah I'm convinced of major changes in store for me, as Soulsings said I'm not exactly who I used to be nor what I've yet to become, and it feels weird.

Hugs back! haha I'm glad I could help. smiley My family does like me and support me despite my quiet and aloof self

My 3 kids in their 20s have their own lives elsewhere. Completely ignore my existence except cashing bday/Xmas checks. It's so depressing that I never hear from them & they don't respond to phone/email. Yet I was and am a GREAT mom. Now, in consult with my psych doc, I'm not reaching out to them. (When I do try, I get more & more depressed awaiting a reply.) I exist only as long as my service dog survives - I owe it to him.

@stillheretoday deserve better. Each of them owe you their lives, and it's heartbreaking to know they treat you that way. They don't know how good they have it. I don't think they mean anything by it, people in their 20s wanna grow up really fast, they usually want to drive really fast, find a date really fast..things like that. It's tough for me to explain why, kids in their 20s don't seem to want that much to do with their parents..it doesn't look good to their peers or something. I'm in my 20s too but my parents mean more to me than that. It's my prayer that your children come back to you and give you the happiness you owe.

@ramSpiral2500 Thank you for your support. I agree with the behavior in 20s is common. Just wish they would even email or text. Or say thanks for me still supporting them.

Your actions matter to them. You don't see their reactions unless they want you to know what their reactions are.
