It's like you have a fever (but you actually don't). Is this a symptom of major depression?

I know that when I felt extremely anxious and tired simultaneously, I would get some symptoms of a fever: weakness, fatigue, feeling 'hot'.

I don't think depression is a direct cause of this, however.

Personally for me this is the first sign that I'm really anxious about something (I'm not really all that good at reading internal signals). Occasionally, when I'm really nervous, it feels like my face & neck is sunburnt.

@Muskettcat

For me it felt like every fiber of my being was screaming in torment from something I couldn't put my finger on, more so when I tried to get up and do things despite feeling like I had a flu but no symptoms other than the weakness and some body aches. I guess you could say burning because it did feel like I was in "hell" so to speak. Indoors I felt more sensitive to the cold but outside I felt like I could stand in the snow for a long time just wanting to feel numb instead...which I sometimes felt anyway.

@Muskettcat yes as a side effect of antidepressants and from withdrawal from antidepressants
