Helping them
Hello, my ex boyfriend has recently completely pushed me out of his life due to his depression. We haven’t spoken for a month and two weeks ago he completely removed me and my family from social media. I know the advice is to give people the space they need and wait until they’re ready to come back or you risk pushing them away harder but, we live 30 seconds away from each other and there’s a field by our houses where we spend a lot of time would it be completely wrong of me to go there one day in the near future and wait for him to walk through there on his way home from work? I’ve never spoke to him face to face when he feels this way so wouldn’t know what to expect but we normally connect 10000x better face to face. I just worry that after a month he could be ready to speak again and just be reluctant to actually reach out to me again as he doesn’t want to cause me anymore pain so is just forcing himself to move on instead but this isn’t an option for me really, I’m not ready to lose him.
I understand this situation 😔...I hope you were able to connect with him in person. I have difficulty getting mine to meet in person when he gets like that. I usually try to stay connected via text and do check ins which he tells me he appreciates. And he does. His responses usually lag but he eventually does respond. If he has blocked your number maybe you can write him a letter and put it in his mail box?
Thank you for the response, a recent update as of last night is that he’s actually got a tinder account now so I’m completely broken and confused as to what this means as he’d always said he loved/wanted me but it was a relationship he struggled to maintain. I’m planning on walking round to accidentally-on purpose bump into him some point next week and have a long conversation with him. However I’m not sure I can excuse him for the tinder so the conversation might have to be more of a closure one anyway 😢
