I can feel myself slipping again.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but here I am anyway..

I haven't felt like myself the past week and I can feel myself slipping back into a negative mindset and into a place that I really don't want to be in mentally. It scares me. I can see myself pulling away from everyone and losing interest and motivation for even simple stuff. It took me half an hour to convince myself to get off the floor and shower.... I hate that I'm starting to go back into that mindset but I don't know how to pull myself out of it. I'm worried it's going to get to the point again where I feel suicidal and I don't know if I can handle being in that state of mind again...

I really don't know what to do about it or how to pull myself out of this before it gets worse

@alexis0404

Hi there,

It helps me to remember that we are cyclical beings--things move up and down, and sometimes fighting to keep this balance at an "acceptable" level causes more harm than good.

With that in mind, when things are bad, I try to rally around what's meaningful to me. I try to invite as much connection as possible (for me this usually means work meetings) and have one pleasurable activity a day that isn't meaningless. Creative acts like drawing or poetry are good here. The third pillar I try to have is acheivement. This will look different for everyone. I work a very time consuming job that I usually enjoy, so my acheivement always comes there. I can imagine it coming in many different areas.

Connection | Pleasure | Achievement.
Helps me through the hard times.

Which, right now, seems like all the time.

Good luck, friend.
