A few years ago i really struggled in life, my partner was emotionally abusive, i consulted with a dr and i started taking anti anxiety and anti depressant tablets for about a year. I then left that relationship and weaned myself off of the tablets. I dont believe i need the tablets but every now and then i feel so fearful of everything and so unmotivated for a long time and it is starting to affect my studies and it has effected my work and career. I need to overcome it but i bave no idea how

@denikate92 I think the only way to know if you are truly struggling with depression is by being diagnosed, however, researching the symptoms may help. Being unmotivated and struggling in that sense may be indicators. I'm sorry you've been struggling with these feelings, like anxiety and depression. You don't always need medication for treatment, but in certain cases, it may help! I'm so glad you came to 7 Cups for some guidance. <3 If you ever want to talk more about these feelings, feel free to reach out to a listener or join in our group chat rooms.

I'm sorry to hear you are struggling with anxiety and depression. You will definelty overcome this situation. It's just you need to put on some efforts by yourself. Engage yourself with something, hangout with your friends and also talk your feelings with someone whom you can trust. A good communication will really help you to overcome this issues. You can also go for some counselling for your support.
