What triggers your depression?

Similar to others in here, my triggers tend to be:

Mistakes - Was particularly bad when I was in school and my grades were bad

Guilt - Survivor's guilt, guilt over not being a better friend or person, guilt over wasting people's time

Self-Reflection - can often be brought on externally (i.e. Bojack Horseman) but if I ever stop to really think about myself, I can get pretty bad.

My triggers are being alone, being asked to do more than i can at this time as well as days where i do not do much makes me feel more down as i feel i havent made progress.

I think my biggest trigger is when I think about how I could possibly fail or when I don't meet my own expectations.

When my grades go down. When I dwell on the past. When I look at my exs pictures

Failing something, or thinking about the ways I could fail something. I have found that I do less now that I used to because if you don't do something, you can't fail at it. And while that is true, it is a horrible way to live life. So pretty much my anxiety brings me depression, and my depression brings more anxiety.

@Search4Happiness I know it's next to impossible sometimes to try to even convince yourself you're worth something, but you are. I mean we're still here, right? What's helping me come to realize this fact is just accepting that we are part of a something bigger in the Universe. It may take forever until we realize our purpose or worth, maybe it takes until we are departing this world, but just accept that you are here, you are a part of something at large, and you are worth it.

I hope that brings you some comfort. I really hope it does.
