I agree so strongly with this you wouldn't believe it
@lavenderHuman5977 Since you were able to write here, that means that you somehow want to change or improve your situation or not feeling comfortable or right about it.
I seriously urge you to reach out to a mental health professional as soon as possible. If you are not able to reach out to anyone and you are not feeling well, first start by calling a free line in your area or country. Then take steps to eventually find a therapist, or have someone help you. Please reach out for help, there is no shame in trying to get help.
I went through an extremely difficult time in my life where I didn't want to improve my situation; deep down I wanted to, but I did not have the ability to do it because I was extremely depressed and lethargic. I was living my life like there was no meaning to my days, and just surviving. I went on medication after this and helped because I was so depressed that I could not take care of myself.
Please I know how hard it is, just promise me you will make that phone call, it's just one call or another call. If you find a clinic try to stick with the same therapist if you feel comfortable with it. I also moved to another area and that helped me move on in my life, and then later things started to improve.
I am so sorry, I know it's a cycle, but you have to get out of it. I don't even want to think about my past, it's too painful.
Please make the call
I...feel this so much actually.
When you've lived your entire life kinda just...feeling messed up, it's hard to imagine you'd be the same person after you start getting better. It's like you're losing something that's been part of you for so long that it can't be separated.
But I think of this as a sort of Stockholm syndrome. I'm so used to being broken that I'm worried about fixing anything. I'd rather stay where I know what's going on. Where I'm comfortable. But that's not always a good thing. Clinging to that part of us can just push us deeper into darkness. That's why I'm here.
I hope you're doing OK and are able to find the help you need. You deserve happiness.

Hi lavender and welcome to 7Cups, I'm so glad to have you!
Thanks for sharing, what you said is understandable and makes perfect sense to me.
I'm so sorry for your condition and the worries you are having as you are thinking about recovery and the coming up days. You deserve all support, all happiness, no one deserves to be struggling forever. This life is temporary so as pain, happiness, sadness, etc.
And real friends will stick to you whatever happens, they would actually be happy and proud of you at all times and especially when you get better.
One breath at a time...we walk this journey with you. The pain just makes us unable to see ourselves beyond it.
Sending love and caring thoughts ♥️
