What is something Depression keeps others from knowing about you?
Depression can be good at masking who you really are as a person. It can keep others away and selfishly keep you all to itself. What is something that Depression keeps others from knowing or seeing about you?
It makes you shelter yourself. I've personally lost my ability to feel anything.
@GhostFlower
I feel the exact same way right now. I can't feel anger or happiness or even sadness. Its just emptiness and tears plus the urge to just keep away from everyone
Myself, it locks me deep inside my self unable to connect feel love unable to live
It keeps me isolated so no one really knows who I am anymore. It keeps new people from knowing who I am
That I wasn't really doing my uni work when I said I was studying. Because I couldn't.
@carefulScarf3618 honestly, I can relate to this so much 💔 I hope things get better for you x
I think my boyfriend doesn
Just about everything it seems.
I don't really remember life without depression, and sometimes I feel like I'm forgetting myself as well.
Depression has stolen my words. As an English major and aspiring writer and editor, this is devastating. It has stolen my passion, my means of communication, and any feelings of self-confidence.
Depression keeps others from knowing just how much I'm hurting--just how much help I need--because I can no longer say anything more than: "I'm fine, just tired."
@Kycham616
write something for us. I would love to hear it. Please.
That things aren't as nice as people believe. That my struggles actually started as a child and it's why it's so hard for me to recover, because all I've known is depression and struggling, so I need to teach myself how to be "okay" because I never really experienced it.
Depression makes it so I can't experience actual joy and happiness, because it's always ever lurking in the back of my mind, waiting to jump at any given moment- because I'm bipolar.
It makes it harder for me to get new friends because I seen down in the hallways at school, but I eventually cheer up near the end if the day. It vise versa.
And other times it keeps people from seeing what I'm really like because its covered up by the loneliness and depression, making me seem like a different person all together..
I seem*
@blankleaf nvm, kms
@blankleaf I relate allot all to the "different person thing" I feel like no one knows me anymore, and weirdly not even I do
How I can't express certain emotions and feel like nothing matters
I lost my job, and the job hunting is going no where. I might have to leave my kids with my ex to move back to my mom's home. My ex is a horrible mom, who strings me. When I had a job, we were talking about getting back together. When I told her I lost my job, she dropped the bomb she had been sleeping with someone else this whole time. That broke me. Now I cry. I keep a stiff upper lip, but it hurts. My whole life up to this point seems like a total failure and I think I need to leave my kids behind to fix myself and that depresses me so much. She told me she'd been away for work months at a time, when in actually she would our kids so she could bang the other dude. She's on antidepressants, but isn't seeking help, and now is constantly on the phone talking to other dudes, ignoring our kids when they are with her. She's a selfish person, and she never wanted kids, so I've been their primary care giver since birth and leaving them is making me depressed. Sorry for the wall. I hate for ruining my life and our kids' lives. I wish I had kids with someone else. I wish I had had a partner that supported me, not kick me when I was down.
